European Parliament spokesman Jaume Duch said on Twitter that Thursday’s Conference of Presidents officially suspended the Sakharov Prize winner, Aung San Suu Kyi, from being suspended from the Sakharov Prie Community. The sanctions were taken because of the inaction and negligence committed by Suu Kyi for the crimes committed against the Rohingya community in Myanmar.
